ETG Canada offers an assortment of standard waveguide components, operating in satellite communications frequencies, specifically engineered and selected to be combined into multifunction waveguide amplifier output components making it convenient for tube-based RF power amplifier Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to source their waveguide requirements from us.

Output components are designed and manufactured to customer specifications while incorporating a mix of our of standard and custom-fit waveguide components.
ETG Canada’s HPA OEM waveguide product line features space-saving, high performance designs, fabricated from machined aluminium, cast aluminium and copper alloy waveguide. Depending upon volume, ETG can supply prototypes in machined aluminium or copper alloy waveguide, then transition to a cast aluminum design as the production volumes increase, providing a scalable and versatile supply chain to meet the changing demands faced by OEMs.
Output Components
Multi-function waveguide output components are constructed from waveguide components that serve a number of different functions. The primary purpose of the output component is to protect the amplifier tube from undesirable RF reflections from waveguide external to the amplifier as well as monitor and condition the RF output signal from the tube. Typical output waveguide components are comprised of an isolating device, one or more filtering devices, couplers with both forward and reflected power coupling ports and connecting waveguides.
Our output components are capable of handling higher power levels, while exhibiting much lower losses, in a compact size and shape for convenient installation inside an RF power amplifier enclosure. ETG offers custom designs and configurations to accommodate specific functions and size constraints.

Adapters
Adapters are widely used to transition from waveguide to coaxial transmission line standards. Our adapters are designed to cover popular satellite uplink frequency bands providing excellent VSWR and low loss. High quality and performance is key. Terminations
ETG Canada manufactures precision waveguide terminations in a variety of popular satellite uplink frequency bands. Power levels range for low to high power, dependent of customer specifications. Our terminations can be made using aluminum or copper waveguide and customers can choose from a variety of standard flange types. Custom and special flanges are available upon request. ETG Terminations exhibit excellent performance, specifically low VSWR.

Couplers
ETG Canada offers a range of various coupler products suitable for Satellite communications applications. Amongst them are Cross-Guide Couplers with single, dual and triple coupling arm configurations. Our couplers are designed to meet the requirements of our customers and exhibit high performance and quality. Excellent VSWR, High Directivity and Flat Coupling Response are features of ETG Couplers. Coupling values range from 20-60 dB with typical directivity greater than 22dB.

Short Twist Sections
ETG Canada’s offers a line of electrically compensated extra short length twisted waveguides. These space saving designs are very useful for compact SSPA enclosure where available space comes at a premium. Fabricated from aluminum material the 90 degree right or left hand twists are popular items, but 45, 30 degree and other twist angles are available upon request.

Waveguide Assemblies
ETG Canada’s waveguide assemblies are manufactured with accuracy and are offered in various configurations to meet our customer’s specifications. We offer straight waveguide sections as well as more complex, customized assemblies consisting of multiple bends and angles. Our customers can select from a host of standard flanges and custom or specialized flanges are also available upon request. Several plating and paint finishes are available and are selected based on customer application or by customer request. Prior to shipping, all waveguide assemblies are tested to ensure optimal performance.
